WHAT THE CROP?!

With the addition of the Mermaid attraction, the Allium County Aquarium initially sees a booming increase in revenue. When the Mermaid's agent Seymour Berkowitz discovers this, he tries renegotiating her contract for a percentage of ticket sales.

To churn up tourism excitement, Allium Metropolitan Museum collaborates with the Aquarium, lending their precious jewel collection for display in the Aquarium's underwater scenes.

When the treasure chest display is installed at the Aquarium, the jewels mysteriously start disappearing! With public focus on the WikiLeeks Scandal, the Mermaid is suspected of pilfering the jewels from the treasure chest. Further scrutiny reveals that the Mermaid might not be a REAL mermaid at all... conspiracy theories abound!

The Allium County Aquarium eventually falls prey to water quality issues stemming from the damming of Leek Lake and Leek Creek, which the Development Party supports in defiance of the Ecology Party. Most of the Ecology Party members live in Pleasant Façade Estates and they want to divert water from Leek Lake so they can water their manicured lawns and expensive landscape.
