Senator Dick Tate is suitably impressed when he visits the opulent castle inhabited by gazillionaire Saul Fuhr III and his icky, geeky weak son Aleek The Leek.
The Senator is surprised to learn that, despite all his money and power, gazillionaire Saul Fuhr III is a miserably unhappy old garlic bulb. Saul Fuhr III asks the Senator “do you wish to taste it yourself and make a trial of my good fortune?” When the Senator agrees, Saul Fuhr III seats him on a golden couch and orders a host of servants to wait on him. He is treated to succulent cuts of meat and lavished with scented perfumes and ointments.
Senator Dick Tate can't believe his luck, but just as he is starting to enjoy the life of a gazillionaire, he notices that Saul Fuhr III has also hung a razor-sharp sword from the ceiling. It is positioned over the Senator’s head, suspended only by a single strand of horsehair.
From then on, the Senator’s fear for his life made it impossible for him to savor the opulence of the feast or enjoy the servants. After casting several nervous glances at the blade dangling above him, he wants to leave, saying he no longer wishes to be so rich and powerful.
